Twins at Damansara Heights

A couple of weeks back, I received an invitation to visit the new show suite of Twins at Damansara Heights. So I hop in my car and drove to the sales gallery at Pusat Bandar Damansara.

To my horror, it's a construction site !! with no proper entrance for visitors ... and what's even worse ... there is no visitor car park. When asked about the show unit, the security guard didn't even know what I was talking about, and shoo me away because I was blocking the entrance. Very very bad first impression.

So anyway I parked at the nearby dark and creepy car park of the government building and risked my life walking to the site because there are NO pedestrian walkway !! The developer expects the visitors to walk in through the muddy entrance, the SAME entrance where the trucks move in and out !! Totally unacceptable. Also they wanted us to wear smelly safety helmets !! Rightfully, anyone without a CIDB green card is not allowed into a construction site. Ok ok lets move on ... getting angry here.

At this point, I told myself, no matter how nice is the unit, I will not buy it because of the horrible first impression. Anyway since I'm here, lets see what they have.

Here's the dining area (with a sign that says 'Please Do Not Sit')
Why would anyone in their right mind wants to sit on the dining table ??!!
As if one sign wasn't enough ... there are TWO warning signs on the table !!

Ok enough of my bitterness, here's a shot of the living room. I like how they use the strong colours here. I dont like that furry thing on the sofa though.

No TeeVee ?

One of the bedroom

This room has an odd shape, suitable to use it as a study room.

Kitchen cabinets and appliances (kitchen hob and hood) including fridge are provided.

The show suite is generally ok. Not much wow factor.
For me, it's just another condominium development in town.

The Verve Suites Presents The Versilica

The Verve Suites recently unveiled their final residential tower called the Vox Tower. This time around Bukit Kiara Properties are introducing yet another one-of-a-kind feature, The Versilica Sky Beach.

I'm so impressed with the facilities. They have a heated outdoor swimming pool at Viva Tower and a Hydro Gym at the Vogue Tower. Imagine working out on your cross trainer in the water !! What's cool is that the facilites can be used by residents from all four towers. And all towers are linked at level 5 where all the main facilities are located. Oh oh .. they also have a theatrette under the stars, where you can watch your favourite movies (still not sure if you get to bring your own movies or the management corporation has full control over the movie list).

Located on the top of Vibe Tower is the Hypercubes Sky Lounge. It consists of a series of inter-connected activity hubs, which they call it the Hyperchill. (Of course, the typah plant looks like it needs abit of help)

As shown in the photo below, you can book this hyperchill cube for a karaoke session / movie night with a group of friends. It also comes with an outdoor jacuzzi (which I didn't manage to snap a photo, you've got to see it for yourself !)

Here's the Hyperkitchen - A state-of-the-art kitchen that comes fully equipped with Gaggenau kitchen solutions. So you can invite your own chef and cook up a storm for your friends.

Across the Hyperkitchen is the Hyperdine, a dining area where you can have formal dinners with a view of the Kuala Lumpur skyline.

Ok lets move on to their units. This is the Metro Lux with a built-up of 926 sq. ft., and selling price of around RM 1.2 mil. A very masculine design. It's fully furnished, so all furnitures, kitchen fittings, light fittings and curtains are provided. What they dont provide is the loose items such as the TV, flower pots, and mattress.

Here's the master bedroom.

A tiny little Bedroom 2. Looks like some kid just jump on the sheets.

Here's the other unit, Duo Centrix, same built-up but an alternative interior design. I prefer this :)

The master bedroom. Hmm maybe they should display more than just a little mug there.

The master bathroom with funky shelving units.

To the left of the bathroom is a sunken bath. The window blinds are provided and its automated too!

Sigh, the Verve Suites has now become No. 1 on my favourite condominium list. Eventhough the unit is a tad too tiny for me, but heck, you are buying 100,000 square feet of recreational area. Also in the near future, BKP will be launching the Verve Shops which consist 6 storeys of 80,000 sq. ft. of retail outlets. So you can get everything you need from groceries, to breakfast, and even a little black dress without walking out of your fence.

Sunway Vivaldi

Sunway Vivaldi ... a symphony of luxury (how lovely)

A dining room that opens out the the lanai.
What's interesting is the living room and how you can close it up and turn it into an entertainment room. That way you can invite your friends over for movie nights and will not disturb mommy and daddy upstairs. Oh oh .. did I mention that these are duplex units?

Is that a picture of Antonio Vivaldi ? hmm sure doesn't look like the one showed in wikipedia

Ok lets move on to the other show unit which I like. The private lift lobby opens up to a lanai.

I love how they've made use of the space. It's actually a double volume living room but I'd rather not show the other photo (which is not taken skillfully) as it does not do justice to the place haha.

A neat little breakfast corner.

I really like this chair, the colours and patterns of the fabric gives it a very retro feel.

I love the oversize headboard at the master bedroom. Very OTT.

And of course, the most other most important space in a home ... the master bathroom.
With a his and hers sink and oh ... a jacuzzi.

Sigh all in all it's really quite a lovely place to live in. I noticed some ooo what's that word they use, oh yah, Exquisite brands used for their sanitary fittings, e.g. duravit, hansgrohe, catalano, also restaurant-grade kitchen appliances and designer kitchen collection such as gaggenau and mirari, just to name a few.

Sunway Vivaldi has a 2-acre eco deck with a 50-metre length olympic swimming pool (and that's no koi pond ok !) I'm pleasantly surprised that it's actually a very low density development (30 units per acre) considering it's location at Mont Kiara.
